This camera uses the ONVIF standard, which also allows for a wide variety of third party software to connect to it for monitoring. you can also find many onvif monitoring apps available for mobile phone connection.  It also comes with a software disc which allows for a p.c. to be used for monitoring and setting up the camera.  This camera has a heat sink added to its cpu, which allows it to run cooler. Most standard models of this type due not have this. It also comes with an adjustable base, which allows for more stability than the one which is usually attached to the main body. The camera is not suited for outdoor use, but can used for indoor monitoring. Focusing the camera is not usually necessary but can be easily done if needed, by twisting the outer body of the lens housing.
